Friends & Strangers (2021) explores how the relationship between the artist and sitter can affect the final image. Knowingly experimenting on her own subconscious. Sidia works from old photos – some of strangers and some of people whom are intimately familiar. The opposing forces of distant faces in a crowd, and the up close connection of her friends.
